week one introduction
my hard skills: audio editing ( all audio packages are pretty much once you learn the basics), i like cubase SX and use it in conjunction with Sound forge for editing raw sounds files. I can use Audition but i really don’t think it is any different to cubase, except that i find adobe audition a time consuming and unfriendly package compared to cubase. I have also edited and produced video files on premier in the past. Furthermore, i have skills in HTML and CSS and image editing software such as photoshop. I have basic skills in flash but i don’t like flash.
My favorite work mediums: radio (and video), Web
what am i hoping to learn this semester? i like to learn about places online where people can upload and share sound files effectively and also add those links somewhere else. Something similar to flickr or youtube but for audio. I wanted to upload voice journals to my blog during my travel but i couldn’t find any medium that would achieve this for me without too much hassle.
i like to use audio in conjunction with graphics and physical movement of objects to convey powerful messages.
